- ATM:
The nearest ATM is outside the RAIKA branch in Saalbach, just a two-minute walk from the Hotel DAS Kohlmais.
- Bar:
A drink, a great atmosphere - just lean back and relax: whether at our hotel bar or on the terrace with views of the mountains, it’s the perfect way to wind down at the end of the day.
Opening hours of the hotel bar: daily from 3.00 pm to 11.00 pm
- Bathing slippers:
Our environment is important to us! Help to avoid more than 20,000 disposable bathing slippers per year as residual waste and please take your personal bathing shoes with you. Together we can save costs and, above all, make a sustainable contribution to our environment - thank you very much!
- Bike region:
You can look forward to 400 kilometres of signposted bike trails and numerous freeride routes in the Saalbach Hinterglemm bike region. Thanks to its prime location right next to the Kohlmais gondola, DAS Kohlmais lets you start your biking adventure without detours – straight from the hotel to the mountain and onto the trails.
- Breakfast:
Our ample breakfast can be enjoyed between 7.30 am and 10.30 am in our cosy restaurant and on the breakfast terrace. You can look forward to a wide variety of mueslis, cereals, fresh fruit, milk, yoghurt, jams, porridge, sausage, cheese and freshly prepared egg dishes. There´s also a wide selection of fresh breads and pastries, various types of tea, coffee and homemade juices. A perfect start to the day is guaranteed!
- General cancellation conditions:
Up to 3 months before arrival – no cancellation fees
3 months to 1 month before arrival – 40% of the entire amount
1 month to 1 week before arrival – 70% of the entire amount
In the last week before arrival – 90% of the entire amount
- Gondolas and lifts:
There are up to 6 lifts open in summer and 70 in winter.
- Check-in:
Your room will be available from 2 pm.
- Check-out:
You are kindly requested to vacate your room by 10 am
- Electric vehicle charging station:
You can charge the batteries of your e-car with green electricity at our charging station in our parking lot right next to the hotel. (for a fee)
- Food Truck:
Our food truck is open in summer from 2 pm to 10 pm daily except Tuesdays outside the hotel. You can tuck into succulent burgers, home-made snacks and delicious drinks in a laid-back atmosphere.

Food Truck – ‘The K’ by Tobi:
Our food truck – ‘The K’ by Tobi – is situated right outside the hotel and is open daily from 2.00 pm to 10.00 pm in summer (closed on Tuesdays). In a relaxed atmosphere, you can enjoy homemade burgers, fries, daily specials and delicious drinks. PS: we’re weather-resistant! Whether it’s windy, rainy or sunny – you can always sit back, relax and enjoy your time here.
- In- & Outdoor pool:
Our heated indoor pool and heated outdoor pool with seating areas and massage features are open daily from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm throughout summer and winter.
- Internet:
Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel free of charge.
- Incompatibilities:
Of course, we take any intolerance or allergies into account. Please let us know by email before your arrival so we can prepare as best as possible for your individual dietary requirements and ensure you have an enjoyable stay.
- Joker Card:
In summer you will receive the Saalbach JOKER CARD free of charge when you arrive at the hotel.
- Laundry service:
We offer a laundry service on request for a fee.
- Outdoor pool:
The outdoor pool with seating and massage function is opened daily from 8.00 am until 8.00 pm in summer and winter.
- Parking:
You can park your car outside the hotel or in the parking garage alongside the hotel for an additional fee of € 10.00 per car and day.
- Pets:
Please note that pets are not allowed.
- Shops:
There are lots of shops and ski hire facilities near the Hotel DAS Kohlmais. Even more convenient: Our partner Bründl Sports is located right next to the hotel. As our guest, you'll enjoy an exclusive 12% discount on ski and bike rentals.
- Sauna and steam bath:
Our sauna and steam bath are open daily from 4 pm to 8 pm both in summer and winter.
- Smoking:
Smoking is forbidden in guests’ rooms and all public areas. You are welcome to smoke on the balconies. Thank you for your understanding.
- Skicircus:
The Hotel DAS Kohlmais is right by the Kohlmaisbahn cable car in Saalbach. This means you have direct access to 270 kilometres of superb pistes!
- Ski- & bike room:
Your skis and bikes are safely stored in our secure ski & bike room on the lower ground floor. Each room comes with its own heated locker, conveniently accessible with your room key card. The entire area is monitored by video surveillance for added security. You'll also find a selection of practical tools on site for quick bike checks and minor repairs.
- Ski pass:
A ski pass for the Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn ski area can be bought at the lift station opposite the Hotel.
- Ski- and bikerental:
All our guests receive an exclusive discount on ski and bike rentals from our partner "Bründl Sports"! Make a reservation now and save money.
- Vegan friendly:
On request, we can offer you a completely vegan 5-course menu for an additional charge of € 35. You will also find a variety of vegan products at breakfast. It's best to let us know before you start your journey or when you arrive at the hotel - thank you!
